Muscle activity, circulation, and overall metabolic rate all influence how long a neuromodulator remains effective. When your body turns over energy quickly, treatments can simply metabolize faster. That isn’t a problem or a failure of the product, it’s a sign of a healthy, active system.

If you’re very fit or highly expressive, you may just need to adjust timing or dosing.

Your skin has a microbiome that needs balance especially after workouts, during breakouts, and when skin is irritated. Hypochlorous acid calms inflammation while still being safe for sensitive areas.

And, shout out to one of my new favorites CLn Skin Care

When skin gets this dry, it’s usually not about needing more products, it’s about repairing a compromised barrier. Cold weather, indoor heat, and frequent cleansing strip away lipids that normally keep water sealed into the skin.

Nighttime is when your skin does the majority of its repair work, so the goal is to reduce irritation, replenish lipids, and create an environment where the skin has the best chance for self repair. But, your skin naturally loses more water at night from doing all that hard will. That’s why things like water temperature, humidity, and layering matter just as much as what’s in the bottle. When you support the barrier consistently, the skin can recover its ability to hold moisture on its own.

Forehead Botox isn’t one-size-fits-all, especially in midlife. The forehead muscles help keep the brows lifted and the eyes open. When those muscles are overtreated, the face can look heavier or tired, even if the wrinkles are gone.

The approach I take is about respecting function as much as appearance: softening lines without disrupting the muscle patterns your face relies on. That balance becomes even more important in perimenopause and menopause, when muscle compensation and structural support change. Done thoughtfully, you can smooth lines, preserve expression, and maintain lift which is what natural results actually look like.

Exfoliation is an essential part of good skincare, but more is not better. Your outermost skin layer isn’t just “dead skin,” it’s part of your barrier, helping regulate hydration, protect against irritation, and support overall skin function. When that barrier is constantly disrupted, I see more redness, sensitivity, and premature aging in my patients.

Discoloration is rarely just a surface issue, which is why I consistently come back to vitamin C as a key ingredient. It supports the skin’s own regulation of pigment while also addressing the oxidative stress that quietly drives uneven tone over time. Vitamin C strengthens your skin’s defenses and helps prevent new spots from forming rather than just chasing the ones already there.

Products I recommend:
- RoC Skincare Multi Correxion Revive + Glow Daily Serum + Vitamin C
- La Roche-Posay 12% Pure Vitamin C Serum
- Loreal Paris Revitalift Pure Vitamin C, E, Salicylic Acid Serum

You may not realize how much lashes make a difference! Just applying mascara is a simple hack to looking more youthful and awake.

You probably aren’t using enough sunscreen...

Sunscreen works best with enough product initially applied, consistent reapplication, combined with shade, sun protective clothing, and timing your sun exposure wisely, ideally when the UV index is at or below 3. The goal is to reduce cumulative damage over time, which is what drives skin cancer and premature aging, skin discoloration, redness and wrinkles. And yes, you should be wearing sunscreen on cloudy days, and in the winter too.

Treatments like Botox and filler are meant to support your features, restore balance, and soften lines to celebrate who you are. The goal is always to help you look and feel refreshed, rested, and exactly like yourself, on your very best day, every day.
