✨ Voices of Recovery Speaker Series ✨

Next week, we’re honored to welcome Justin Blackburn as our featured speaker.

Justin’s recovery journey has taught him a simple but powerful truth:

"Keep going. What I've learned from both my addiction & mental health journey is, keep going. Things will get difficult, things will get messy, sometimes scary, the important thing is to keep moving forward. Keep going, no matter what."

Through lived experience, perseverance, and hope, Justin will share his story of navigating addiction, mental health challenges, and the strength it takes to continue moving forward—even when the path feels uncertain.

Wellness Wednesday 🌿

Reframing is a powerful recovery tool.
What if instead of saying “I’m failing,” we said “I’m trying”?
Instead of “I’m behind,” we said “I’m on my way”?

The words we use shape the way we see ourselves — and healing starts with giving ourselves grace. Recovery isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress, honesty, and continuing forward one step at a time. 💛

Which reframe speaks to you today?

🎓💙 Celebrating Chad Byrd and the Power of Connection 💙 🎓

On May 11th, we had the honor of celebrating Chad Byrd as he graduated from our Intensive Outpatient Program at Cameron Ridge Treatment Services. Chad’s journey was marked not only by his commitment to his own growth but by the meaningful connections he built along the way. One of the most special parts of his graduation? Chad chose to celebrate by grilling out for the group—and that’s exactly what we did. It was a moment that perfectly reflected who he’s been throughout his time here: someone who gives back, shows up, and brings people together.

From day one, Chad played a huge role in shaping the energy of the group. He had a way of lifting morale, sparking conversation, and making others feel seen and supported. He consistently poured back into the group, offering encouragement, perspective, and plenty of honesty. His presence reminded everyone that recovery isn’t just an individual process—it’s something we build together.

The connections formed in group are often what make the biggest difference, and Chad embraced that fully. He created space for others, strengthened relationships, and helped build a sense of community that will last well beyond his time in the program.

We are incredibly proud of the progress Chad has made and the person he continues to become. It has truly been a privilege to walk alongside him on this journey.

We’re definitely going to miss “Chad’s Group” — iykyk!

Please join us in congratulating Chad Byrd on this well-earned accomplishment!
Here’s to continued growth, strong connections, and everything ahead.
