ππ Food allergies donβt stop at graduation.
As students transition to college life, managing food allergies becomes increasingly complex. Dining halls, social events, shared kitchens, and independent decision-making all introduce new challenges that require awareness, education, and collaboration.
We applaud Dr. Ruchi Gupta and the Center for Food Allergy and Asthma Research (CFAAR) for highlighting the importance of food allergy safety in university settings during the UMass Chef Culinary Conference.
Creating safer dining experiences takes a team effort between students, families, healthcare providers, university administrators, chefs, and food service professionals. Together, we can help reduce risk and empower students to thrive both academically and socially.
