Relief Mental Health

Relief Mental Health Outpatient provider of TMS, SPRAVATO®, IV ketamine, medication management & therapy. Locations in CO, IL, NJ & WI Charles.

Founded by Susan Mueller, CEO, Relief Mental Health first opened its doors in Oak Brook, Ill., in January 2020—just before the onset of the pandemic. Since then, the organization has expanded to 12 clinics across four states, demonstrating its commitment to delivering innovative and accessible mental health care. At the forefront of Relief Mental Health's offerings is transcranial magnetic stimula

tion (TMS), a non-invasive, FDA-approved therapy for depression, OCD and other diagnoses that utilizes magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain associated with mood regulation. TMS is covered by insurance, produces no systemic side effects, and is effective in treating patients whose symptoms have not improved with routine treatments like medications and therapy. In addition to TMS, Relief Mental Health provides SPRAVATO® (esketamine) nasal spray, an FDA-approved medication for adults with treatment-resistant depression or depression accompanied by suicidal thoughts or behaviors. A form of ketamine, SPRAVATO® works differently than traditional antidepressants by restoring the balance of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, providing rapid relief from depressive symptoms. When used in combination with TMS therapy, patients may experience both immediate and sustained improvements in their mental health. Relief also offers ketamine infusions at select clinics. IV ketamine is a powerful, rapid-acting treatment for
depression, bipolar depression, PTSD, anxiety and more. It has been shown to provide relief when other
treatments have not worked. Recognizing the importance of a comprehensive approach to mental health, Relief Mental Health integrates psychiatric medication management and therapy into personalized treatment plans. This holistic strategy ensures that each patient receives tailored care, addressing their unique needs and promoting long-term well-being. Unlike many psychiatric providers with long waitlists, Relief Mental Health prioritizes expedited access to care—getting patients seen within a week, or even days, of their initial call. Relief started as a TMS clinic and grew from there. Chloe, our VP of Operations, explains why.
TMS has always been at the core of what we do. Adding SPRAVATO®, therapy, and medication management was about making sure patients could get everything they need in one care team.

Not everyone knows if SPRAVATO® is right for them. Our COO, Terran breaks it down in this week's series.

SPRAVATO® may be worth considering if antidepressants have not provided enough relief, if depression is still interfering with daily life, or if you are looking for a faster acting solution.

It is FDA-approved, fast-acting, and covered by all commercial insurance, Medicare, and Tricare.

Cheryl shares what SPRAVATO® has meant for her depression and how it has helped her get more out of therapy. She mentions that combining TMS and SPRAVATO® has further helped in therapy and with her symptoms.

If Cheryl's story resonates, we are here to help you find what works for you.

Most people do not know TMS is FDA-cleared for smoking cessation in adults. This is the green helmet and it is part of the same BrainsWay Deep TMS system we use to treat depression and OCD. Non-invasive, no systemic side effects and no medication. If you have been trying to quit, this may be worth looking into.

Cheryl shares how TMS has helped her.

BrainsWay Deep TMS™ is an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to gently stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood to treat OCD, depression, and other diagnoses.

If what she shares resonates, we are here to help.

Summer break creates space that the rest of the year does not.
If you or someone in your family has been putting off treatment for depression, this is a good time to start. TMS is FDA-approved for ages 15 and up, non-invasive, and covered by all commercial insurance, Medicare, and Tricare.
Most patients complete treatment in six to eight weeks. Start now and finish before school starts.
Next day appointments are available.

Continuing our SPRAVATO® series with our COO, Terran.
This week he explains how SPRAVATO® is different from traditional depression medications. It relieves symptoms, but it also helps patients gain a deeper understanding of what is driving their depression. That process becomes even more effective when paired with therapy.

07/13/2026

If this summer feels heavier than it should, you don't have to figure it out alone. Reach out and let's talk about what support could look like for you.

Meet Cheryl. She is sharing what her time at Relief has meant to her, in her own words. More of her story coming soon.
