We’re always looking for small ways to make visits more comfortable for our feline patients. 🐾

In keeping with our commitment to being a Cat Friendly Practice, we’ve added CatEssentials.com orthopedic beds to every exam room! These cozy beds were recommended to us by Dr. Wendy Simpson in North Carolina, and our patients are already giving them their stamp of approval.

Pictured here are two of our newest patients settling right in and enjoying the extra comfort. 💛

At Brick City Cat Hospital, we know that little details can make a big difference in helping cats feel safe, supported, and cared for during their visits.

PETS Closing and UF Veterinary Hospital at WEC Expands Services to include 24/7 Emergency Care

Beginning June 15, the UF Veterinary Hospital at World Equestrian Center will expand its small animal clinical services to offer 24/7 emergency care.

Conveniently located in Ocala just off State Road 40, the hospital is adjacent to Barn W at the World Equestrian Center, providing pet owners with around-the-clock access to emergency veterinary services.

As part of this transition, UF’s Pet Emergency Treatment Services (PETS) standalone facility at 3200 SW 27th Ave. will close. All UF small animal veterinary services in Ocala will be consolidated under one roof at the UF Veterinary Hospital at WEC, located at 1156 NW 81st Terrace Road.

This is our proposed house-call service map. The outer ring is 10 miles. We feel that anything over that distance is prohibitive in terms of length of time away from the hospital.
House-call fees are taken as a deposit at the time of making the appointment, and are in addition to the regular examination and treatment fees.
This is a good option for those kitties that get nauseous with travel, or stressed out at the clinic while calm at home.
Call 352-732-7877 for more information and to schedule your appointment.
House-calls are only available for established patients.

🐾 Planning a Housecall for Your Cat?

Housecalls can be a wonderful option for some of our established feline patients, but they do take extra planning since our availability for them is limited.

Please note: Housecalls are not available for new clients or new patients.

To help the visit go smoothly, please remember:

🐱 Call ahead to schedule your housecall appointment
Housecall times are limited and may not be available on short notice.

🐱 Have your cat in a catchable space before we arrive
A smaller room, bathroom, or quiet bedroom works best. Please avoid letting your cat hide under beds, behind furniture, or in large open areas.

🐱 Use pre-visit anxiety medication if prescribed
If your cat has been prescribed gabapentin or another calming medication, please give it as directed before the appointment.

A little preparation helps keep the visit calmer, safer, and more comfortable for your cat — and helps our team provide the best care possible. 💛

To schedule, please call Brick City Cat Hospital at (352) 732-7877.
