A big advocacy win for Michigan dentists! 🎉

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed Senate Bill 105 into law, ensuring dentists can receive insurance payments without being forced to pay fees just to access their own reimbursements. Under the new law, insurers must offer at least one payment method that allows dentists to receive 100% of the amount owed — without any access fees.

Thank you to Sen. Jeff Irwin for sponsoring this important legislation, as well as the MDA advocacy team and member dentists whose dedication helped make this meaningful reform a reality.

Fuel Community Impact.

Great ideas deserve the opportunity to grow. Through the MDA PR Grant Program, local component dental societies can receive up to $5,000 to support initiatives that improve oral health and expand access to care across Michigan.

If you have an idea that could benefit your community, now is the time to start the conversation with your local component leaders.
