A heartfelt thank you to Dream Flights and the Nebraska Health Care Association for providing our resident, Becky, with the incredible opportunity to participate in a Dream Flight! ✈️❤️

Becky, a proud Airman Basic who served during the Korean War, was honored as part of this special event recognizing veterans living in Nebraska nursing homes and assisted living communities.

Dream Flights' mission, "Give Back to Those Who Gave," comes to life by bringing the joy and freedom of flight to veterans across the country. Through partnerships like the Nebraska Health Care Association, nearly 800 veterans each year are celebrated for their service with an unforgettable adventure in the skies.

Thank you for helping create such a meaningful experience and for honoring the sacrifices and bravery of our nation's heroes. We are so grateful Becky had the chance to be part of this amazing day! 🇺🇸✈️❤️

Big shoutout to our incredible CNA/CMA, Shane! 👏✨

Recently, Shane shared his experiences as a caregiver on the People Worth Caring About podcast, highlighting the compassion, dedication, and heart that caregivers bring every single day.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Shane was also awarded a scholarship through the Nebraska Health Care Association and will be heading to Capitol Hill in June! 🇺🇸 We are so proud to see him representing caregivers and advocating for the long-term care community on such an important stage.

Bravo, Shane! Thank you for the difference you make every day. 💙

Most people never see what a caregiver's day actually looks like.

Shane Nixon, Certified Medication Aide at Brookestone Village Rehabilitation & Care Center, puts it plainly. He loves his work and shows up for it every day. But he's also honest about how hard it can be.

That honesty is exactly why his voice belongs in Washington, D.C.

Shane was selected as a scholarship recipient by the Nebraska Health Care Association to attend the annual congressional briefing — one of the only frontline caregivers in the country allowed to speak directly with federal legislators about life on the floor. His message to policymakers is simple: come see it for yourself.

Nothing makes us happier than celebrating the amazing moms, residents, families, and team members who make our community so special. We hope all the moms had a day filled with love, laughter, and flowers! 🌷

Last week, we threw a 100+ Party for our incredible residents who are 100 years young—or will be this year! Surrounded by loved ones, laughter, and so many amazing stories, it was a beautiful reminder that life just keeps getting better with age.
