What are “dog ears”? 👀

🐶 😂 No, we’re not talking about our furry friends In surgery, “dog ears” refer to small areas of excess skin or tissue that can sometimes form at the ends of a surgical incision, creating a little bump or fold.

🌟 They can happen with procedures like tummy tucks, breast reductions, and other surgeries involving skin removal.

✨The good news? Dog ears can often be improved or corrected, depending on the situation.

✨ A subtle change that makes a BIG difference.

This chin liposuction before & after shows how removing stubborn fat beneath the chin can create a cleaner jawline and a more defined profile.

👏The goal isn’t to change who you are — it’s to enhance your natural features and create a more balanced facial contour.

🤔 Under the muscle vs. over the muscle

Which one is better? When it comes to breast augmentation, implant placement is one of the decisions we discuss during your consultation.

✨ Under the muscle (submuscular): The implant is placed partially beneath the chest muscle, which can provide more coverage and a more natural transition, especially for patients with less breast tissue.

✨ Over the muscle (subglandular): The implant sits above the muscle, directly beneath the breast tissue. This can be a great option for patients who already have enough natural tissue to provide coverage.

💗 There’s no one-size-fits-all answer! Your anatomy, goals, and lifestyle all play a role in determining which placement is right for you. 💗

👀 Brachioplasty scars: what to expect

✨ A brachioplasty can create a significant improvement in the shape and contour of the arms, but it’s important to remember that scarring is part of the process.

Scars take time to mature and typically become flatter, softer, and less noticeable over time. Your final scar appearance depends on your healing, genetics, aftercare, and surgical technique.

✨ The goal isn’t “no scar” — it’s achieving the best possible result while minimizing the appearance of the scar.

💕 After two children, this mom was ready to address changes that had left her feeling less confident in her body.

She underwent a breast lift + tummy tuck to restore the shape of her breasts and create a smoother, more contoured abdomen.

✨ Now, she’s loving her results and feeling confident in clothes she hadn’t felt comfortable wearing before.

🤍 We love seeing our patients feel like themselves again! 🤍

🤔 Should you eat before surgery?

🍽️  One of the most important things to remember before a surgical procedure is to follow your surgeon’s specific fasting instructions. In many cases, you’ll be asked to avoid food and drinks for a certain amount of time before surgery.

🏥 Why? Fasting helps reduce the risk of complications while you’re under anesthesia.

👩‍⚕️Always follow the instructions provided by your surgical team, and when in doubt, ask!

👀✨ Is labiaplasty a common procedure?

It’s more common than you might think! Labiaplasty is a procedure that can address both functional concerns and aesthetic goals.

💗 Some patients choose it because of discomfort during exercise, clothing, or intimacy, while others are simply looking for a change in appearance.

👩‍⚕️ If you’re considering labiaplasty, the most important thing is having a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns and goals.

🤱🏻🍼 Will a breast reduction affect my ability to breastfeed in the future?

The answer is: it can, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be able to breastfeed.

Your ability to breastfeed afterward depends on factors like the surgical technique, how much tissue is removed, and how the milk ducts and ni**le are preserved.

👶🏻 Some patients can breastfeed normally, while others may experience a reduced milk supply.

💕 If you plan to have children in the future, make sure to discuss this with your surgeon before surgery!
