In our last post, we shared how Dr. Shawn Seibert’s recent US Oncology Network presentation stood out among peers. 💡

This clip shows where the “Suspicion of Cancer” clinic model began, and why he was named the Illinois CancerCare Foundation 2025 CUREageous Rock Doc! 🎸🏆

Since implementing the “Suspicion of Cancer” clinic in partnership with Carle Health, Dr. Seibert and his team have reduced the time from diagnosis to treatment from nearly 90 days to just over 30. 🎗️

That means faster answers. Faster care. And a better experience for patients.

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵!

Thanks to strong participation from our local community, Illinois CancerCare has reached a key enrollment goal for the 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗘𝗗𝗘 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 - a global collaboration focused on early detection and prevention of pancreatic cancer.

Because of this success, our research team has been invited to expand into additional biomarker studies - an opportunity typically limited to large academic medical centers. This achievement reflects the power of community involvement and the impact research can have when people come together for a shared purpose.

With more than 14,000 patients enrolled in clinical trials, research remains at the heart of 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 - right here in central and western Illinois. 💙
