One year ago today, Restoration Counseling opened with one client. To be honest, I had so many doubts and fears. Then one by one, the calls and emails started coming in. With each new client scheduled, I was astonished this was actually taking off.
By September 15, 2025, I was able to move full-time to Restoration. What an incredible year this has been! I have a few people I want to publicly thank so hang with me for a moment.
✨Paul, you have never wavered in your belief in me. You've been my rock, and my tech guy, and my Canva guy. I love you!
✨Ana and Claire, you two are my tribe. The endless cups of coffee with you have been life for me. Thank you for being with me in this!
✨Melissa, you took time out of your busy schedule to sit with me for hours and teach me how to use Therapy Notes. Then took my anxious calls when I didn't know how to post payments. Such generosity. Thank you!
✨Dr. Courtney, you took a risk with me when I said, "I know what not to do, but I'm worried I don't know what to do, so I think I need a consultant" You have been an incredibly generous source of wisdom and guidance for me! Thank you!
✨To my therapist, for months you held all my "what ifs" and self-doubt while challenging me to believe in myself. Many times I walked out thinking, "Maybe I can do this. Maybe I am enough" Thank you!
