Music, art, and community came together at JFSA’s Kindness Center in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Hosted by JFSA's PLAN of Northeast Ohio, the special event featured original piano compositions by PLAN member Sam Silverman (featured here) alongside artwork created by PLAN artists — highlighting the power of creativity to support wellness, connection, and self-expression.

“At PLAN, we focus on creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive community where people can be their authentic selves and live full lives. We don’t let diagnoses define who we are,” states Becky Rinaldi, Community Activities Administrator of PLAN of Northeast Ohio.

We’re proud to celebrate the incredible talents of our PLAN members.

Kindness took center stage in Louisville!

Our JFSA Horvitz YouthAbility Ambassadors just returned from an incredible 5-day journey to Louisville, KY, filled with service, friendship, and unforgettable experiences.

From volunteering at Blackacre Nature Preserve to exploring the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, Muhammad Ali Center, and the Kentucky Derby Museum, the group experienced history, culture, and community in powerful ways.

A highlight of the trip was performing “Kindness Grows” at the Actors Theatre of Louisville! Together, they experienced art, music, basketball, and laughter.

As one Ambassador asked on the ride home: “Can we do this again next week?”
