Yesterday morning our team at Affinity Hospice had the privilege of hosting an iced coffee bar for the incredible physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and support staff at St. Clair Hospital.
Healthcare is demanding work. Every day these professionals walk alongside patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments, often without much recognition. It was a small gesture, but one we hoped communicated a simple message: we see you, and we appreciate you.
One of the things we often speak about hospice is that it’s not about replacing the work of hospitals—it’s about extending it. The care patients receive doesn’t end when they leave the hospital. It continues through partnerships built on trust, communication, and a shared commitment to preserving dignity and improving quality of life.
Thank you to everyone at St. Clair Hospital who stopped by for a coffee, a conversation, or simply a quick smile between caring for patients. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support those who spend their lives supporting others.
