I’m seeing more patients bring AI-generated images to their appointments, so I tried a little experiment: I asked AI to imagine facial balancing for this patient, then compared its concept with her actual treatment results.
Her goal was to look more refreshed, with a balanced profile and fuller lips.
AI can help start a conversation about your goals. But it can also change skin, lighting, and facial features beyond what an injectable treatment can achieve.
Swipe through the before, AI concept, and real results. What differences do you notice?
Actual results shown immediately after treatment; swelling and redness are present. AI images are illustrative, not predicted outcomes. Individual results vary.

What AI came up with
My immediate results
Before. Make sure to pay attention to the under eye that was a big concern.
AI version. I do think the lips look really pretty here. However, my patient wanted a more 50-50 ratio. If you’re doing this yourself, you can put in your own goals.
My after. I absolutely love the softening around the mouth here and the under eye.
In my opinion, I do think this can be a useful tool. We just need to both be on the same page. AI will not know what realistic for your face because it cannot feel or touch it. Lips are a great example because sometimes the lips aren’t very stretchy and you’re not gonna be able to get a very dramatic result.
Now, be honest who did it better?
