Our Journeys community celebrated this special milestone with a luau-themed party surrounded by Ernestine's family and friends. The day was filled with music, a delicious luncheon, cake, and, most importantly, smiles as everyone came together to celebrate.

Affectionately known as "our dear teacher," Ernestine brings warmth and wisdom to those around her. Seeing her so happy made the day even more special.

This week marks the 76th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.

We were honored to welcome Chairman of the Korean War Veteran's Association, Suk Hee Kang, and other members of the Korean War veteran association.

Residents, William and Yim were each honored with tributes of thanks, a certificate, a medal, and Veteran War Hero cap. It was a wonderful program that helped us all appreciate the price and benefits of freedom!

Allendale Senior Living enjoyed a taste of tropical delights!

Our latest dining experience took us to Hawaii and the Polynesian Islands. After our cocktail hour of Champagne, Prosecco and Tropical Punch, Island and a wonderful array of tropical appetizers, residents sat down for a special Polynesian Dining Experience.

The after-dinner show featured hula dancers, a drum dancer and a live fire dance at nightfall in our outdoor courtyard. Our residents, adorned with floral leis were spellbound. While the fire act was certainly the dramatic finale, a much talked about evening highlight was the hula lessons involving our residents!

Today is , a day to recognize the strength, resilience, and determination of the millions of individuals living with chronic disease.

The date 7/10 serves as a powerful reminder that 7 out of 10 deaths in the U.S. are caused by chronic diseases, including heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Raising awareness is an important step toward prevention, early intervention, and better health outcomes.

At our center, we are committed to supporting individuals living with chronic illnesses through personalized, compassionate care that empowers them every step of the way.

Today, we're also asking our team and community to reflect on who inspires them to keep going.

Allendale Senior Living was proud to celebrate Home, anew: 250 Voices of Belonging and Community, Celebrating Our Nation’s 250th Year during a special book signing with our residents, families, team members and community.

At Allendale Senior Living, it was especially meaningful to gather in celebration of the voices, memories and experiences that make this collection so powerful. Each story is unique, but together, they reflect something bigger: the American story itself, shaped by service, sacrifice, hard work, resilience, family and community.

Residents of Allendale Senior Living embraced a much celebrated Fourth of July weekend with holiday BBQ, many musical events, and more!

Corn on the cob, ribs, hot dogs, burgers and all the fixings kicked off Friday along with residents reading our country's Declaration of Independence followed by a patriotic sing along. There were July 4th word games, trivia and more. We were delighted to present multiple musical events from singer, pianist, Tim Gysin, sponsored by Stella Dukes legacy fund for the Arts), singer guitarist, Pete Visalli, the 12 member Harmony In Tune ensemble, and pianist, Caitlin, all treated our community to a mix of classics, pop standards and patriotic favorites to honor our country's 250th birthday!

Throughout, our Life Enrichment team of Dave and Jennie set the stage and supported vibrant, holiday programming. Shout out to Rudy, Wanda, and our dedicated dietary team for the fourth themed treats we offered our residents. Residents enjoyed holiday selfies in our festive lobby. Blessed to be in a community and country where we are free to live life to the fullest!
