The Gender Health Center invites graduate trainees in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, and Marriage & Family Therapy who want to deepen their clinical skills while making a meaningful impact alongside LGBTQIA+, Two-Spirit, transgender, gender-diverse, and intersex communities.
As a trainee, you'll receive:
• Individual and group clinical supervision
• Specialized training in Queer-Informed Narrative Therapy, Liberation Psychotherapy, Liberatory harm reduction
• Opportunities to learn from experienced mental health providers and community health workers committed to healing justice and culturally responsive care
• Experience providing low-barrier, community-centered mental health services
The Gender Health Center is one of the few training sites in the United States offering dedicated training in queer-informed narrative therapy within an integrated, community-based setting. Our approach helps clinicians move beyond pathology and toward practices that honor identity, resilience, relationships, and collective liberation.
