“Expectation vs Reality” for Physical Therapy

Most people think it’s walk in with pain… one magic touch… walk out healed!

If only it worked that fast!

At Stride Physical Therapy, we might not be able to summon magic 🪄 ✨ but we do have the expertise to get you feeling better soon.. just not in an instant. It usually takes some time.. and some work on your part 😉

Sometimes we have to teach people about pain. How much discomfort is ok and how much is not ok when you’re trying to rehab an injury.

In most cases a little bit of discomfort is ok as we are trying to stimulate those tissues to promote healing and get some blood in the area.

But obviously we don’t want to flare things up.

The traffic light analogy🚦 for pain can be a helpful rule of thumb to guide you in your journey back to 100%

It’s always recommended that you get the personalized guidance from a rehab professional for your specific situation.
