Guided Wellness Counseling Guided Wellness provides counseling services to help you overcome depression, anxiety and trauma. Sometimes you’re not sure who you are or what you want.

One of the most difficult things about your struggle is that you feel all alone with it. It is hard to share it with others especially when they know you as the girl-who-can-do-it-all. That disconnect from others is painful but even worse is the disconnect you feel from yourself. I’m talking about the pain of how you imagine or remember yourself to be and then the reality of what’s happening right

now: the depression, the anxiety, the overwhelm, the stress… It can make you question everything you thought you knew about yourself. As a counselor, my first goal is for you to walk into my office and breathe a deep sigh of relief, certain that help is on it’s way and reassured that no, you are not crazy. Never will I make assumptions about you or your lifestyle. Never will I make light of your story. You matter and you will be empowered with a process and tools to take healing into your own hands

What you’ll get from me is plenty of curiosity and the enthusiasm that comes with knowing that this struggle is not forever. Your emotions don’t have to run all over you. We can take charge of this together. I believe that life is meant to be an adventure. For me, that means trail running half marathons, burning the occasional gluten-free pizza in the oven and becoming a licensed therapist. Some days it means digging into the latest book (if my kiddos allow time for that!) or a training that helps me bring even more skills, strategies and research into our sessions. But for you adventure might mean shaking off your anxiety to ask for what you really want in your relationship or stepping into a new phase of your life unafraid. At this point in my career, it’s not hard to hear about the things women have experienced.

What really gets me, is that our narratives around women’s trauma have not changed.

Women are still being asked how hard they fought, how many times they said no.

Hurtful, even abusive behavior is still being normalized as “just part of the girlfriend/wife experience.“ I mean, everyone has to make compromises right? (NO!)

I call bu****it.

And what about the myth that forgiveness is the highest form of healing?

Absolutely not. Forgiveness is a very intimate and personal choice. It can’t be prescribed.

Often, my clients are surprised by how easily they’re able to heal from trauma. But that it can be more difficult to heal from the things that happened after.

➡️Other people’s cruelty. Name-calling. Silencing and denial.

That’s why Guided Wellness Counseling is here.

It’s why I keep this therapy practice small – boutique style, right here in Southern UT – so that we can provide a high touch, customized experienced with plenty of availability on the calendar for our clients. Because nobody should have to wait for a session.

Did you know this?

The vast majority of trauma survivors will not develop PTSD.

🔥A much higher number of trauma survivors will develop anxiety, depression or panic attacks.

So don’t wait to hit rock bottom.

Even if you’re only feeling anxious some of the time – you are deserving of help.

….just do it! Listen to your gut girlfriend.

Because so many clients tell me they wish they’d started sooner.

They were waiting for time to heal their wounds.

They thought they needed to be at rock bottom.

They were just going finish one… more…. self-help book. Or focus on gratitude. Or workout more.

It’s never too late. And it’s never too soon. Just begin.
