With all this good weather, exterior construction work on the Emergency Department at NVRH is moving right along and the patient parking spaces around the ED have been restored and newly marked. Save the date! Join us on Monday, June 29 at 7PM at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in St. J for a Death Café—an informal, engaging meetup to talk about death, dying, and related topics over tea and cake. Death Cafés can cover anything from making a funeral playlist and green burials to whether there’s an afterlife or how to have a “good death.”

A sunny afternoon on the links is a pretty irresistible way to support our community partners and advocate for cancer prevention! Players from NVRH Information Systems, Communications, Finance, Purchasing, and Community Connections teams participated in two recent local golf tournaments to benefit two local schools, Lyndon Institute and St. Johnsbury Academy. Our players were stellar—Jill Kimball from the NVRH communications took closest to the hole at the LI tournament!—and members of the NVRH Philanthropy team took the opportunity to hand out sunscreen, Ibuprofen, and muscle rub and talk to players about the benefits of preventative cancer screenings. Thank you, LI and St. J Academy for an amazing day out and for all the ways that you contribute to our community!

We know that procedures like this can be stressful, and our NVRH technologists prioritize keeping all of our patients comfortable and well-informed, every step of the way.

Appointments are available within three weeks, so if you need an MRI, ask your healthcare provider to refer you to NVRH Diagnostic Imaging so you can get the caring, expert help you need without having to travel far away.
