Wingspan Life Resources is seeking warm and caring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Part Time, Full Time, and On Call shifts providing services to people with developmental and other disabilities in our group homes in Minneapolis, Saint Paul and the surrounding metro area. Fresh from the kiln! Last month, some of our residents visited Silverwood Park for a Textures in Nature & Clay class, where they pressed leaves and other natural objects into soft clay and added color to their designs.

Silverwood Park staff then fired the tiles in their kiln, and the finished pieces have officially made their way back to Wingspan! The firing process deepened the colors, preserved every imprint, and turned each handmade design into a lasting piece of art.

Take a look at the results! No two tiles came out quite alike, and their artists were proud to finally hold the finished creations they started last month.

Thank you to the staff at Silverwood Park for leading such a memorable class and carefully firing each piece for us!

During week two of our Drum Circle residency with COMPAS Teaching Artist Mike Arturi, it made its way around the Drum Oval while each person took a turn giving the beat their own spin.
