Action Alert!!
On Tuesday, September 15, the Olmstead Subcabinet is expected to vote on Minnesota's new Olmstead Plan.

Many disability advocates, including The Arc Minnesota, are deeply concerned that the proposed plan is grossly insufficient. The goals for areas like housing, employment, education, transportation, crisis services, and safety are meaningless, with improvements of only 1% to 2% over five years. The plan also falls short of creating a strong, measurable path toward helping people move from segregated settings into fully inclusive community life.
At a time when federal enforcement of disability integration protections may be weakening, Minnesota should be strengthening its commitments, not lowering expectations.
We encourage you to attend the meeting and stand with advocates who are calling for a stronger plan and more meaningful community input before a final vote is taken.
Meeting Details:
Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Minnesota Department of Revenue Stassen Building, Room 2000, 600 N. Robert St. Saint Paul, MN 55146.
Showing up in person matters.
Invite others! A strong turnout will send a clear message that Minnesotans with disabilities deserve bold goals, real accountability, and genuine opportunities for inclusion.
