For 14 years, FastTrackerMN has quietly served as Minnesota's statewide online behavioral health tracker, helping thousands of Minnesotans find care when they need it most.

Every week, 1,300 to 2,000 Minnesotans use FastTrackerMN to search for providers who accept their insurance, are accepting new clients, and, for participating providers, have appointments available now.

Today, that investment is at a crossroads.

As decisions are being made about the future of behavioral health search tools in Minnesota, we're reminded that FastTrackerMN is more than a website. It's a trusted resource that people turn to during some of the hardest moments of their lives.

We believe Minnesota deserves to preserve and build upon what already works.

There are so many myths circulating regarding mental health and mental illness. It is important to educate ourselves so that we can get the facts. In a mental health crisis, getting the right help at the right time can make all the difference. Mobile crisis teams in Minnesota provide face-to-face, short-term support during mental health emergencies, for both adults and children. These teams come to you, wherever you are, and help stabilize the situation, connect you to services, and support your well-being.

Whether you're seeking help for yourself, a friend, a student, or a loved one, know that you're not alone and support is available. You can find county-specific crisis phone numbers on the Minnesota Department of Human Services website. We know that the topic of suicidality can be difficult to broach. For those who have never experienced this mental health symptom, it can feel scary. But for so many, this is a part of their day-to-day thinking. We want to normalize these conversations, so we have come up with some conversation starters. Unfortunately, stigma and mental illness often go hand in hand but it doesn't need to be this way! It's important that we educate ourselves and raise awareness about the harm stigma can cause. Having open conversations about mental illness is a good place to start. Remember that reducing stigma, saves lives!

Some people are suprised when they find out that mental health and mental illness are not the same thing. While they are interconnected, they actually have distinct differences. We all have mental health in the same way that we all have physical health. Mental illnesses are diagnosable medical conditions that require lifelong care.
