While I am sadly not a librarian I do recommend books to my patients on a regular basis. People may be surprised to find out that romance novels can be beneficial for s-xual health.

Why?

They help get you in the right mindset. It’s unrealistic for someone to go from work, grocery shopping, putting a kid to sleep or any other daily task to being in the mood to get it on.

Spicy stories can help get your brain in a s*xy state of mind. Getting turned on by listening to or reading s*xy stories may help you feel more desire for intimacy. Think about if you have ever had a craving for a certain food, maybe you read about it in a magazine or saw a commercial, it may have triggered a need to have that thing, the same can happen with these books.

The people who create these stories are professionals. Coming up with a fantasy can be a challenge, but these writers are masters at coming up with sensual scenarios so you don’t have to! Just like you could probably come up with your own recipes, chances are you find one online and follow what someone else wrote out for you. So think of these stories as randy recipes for you to follow.

Finally, these stories may also inspire you to try something new. As we know, s-x is so much more than pe*******on and often these tales contain amorous acts that are not very common. So you might discover something new, whether it’s an act or position, that could become a household fave.

If you need a rec or five reach out and I am happy to share my list! Otherwise, share your favorite read :)

Happy Day to all who celebrate. And if you ask me, you should.

It helps get your brain in a steamy state of mind plus reading is a great way to take a break and let your mind chill.

I was so excited that held such a fun event and I’m excited to read “The Deal” by and “A Sociopath’s Guide to a Successful Marriage” by

According to my 5th grade teacher, puberty was the only change I would be experiencing. I did not agree to another change. 😠

I don’t menopause was even mentioned In health class growing up. And everyone should be aware of menopause because about half the population will experience it. Menopause is officially defined by not having a period for one full year. But symptoms related to perimenopause can begin long before that time. Our bodies start to have hormone fluctuations, including a decline in estrogen. Which is honestly a bit of a design flaw because our bodies really dig estrogen. One of the ways I see this decline in estrogen impacting people I work with is due to the fact that all the tissue in and around the 🐱 and the urethra rely on estrogen to stay happy and healthy. 🥰

So if it lacks estrogen this tissue can be thinner, and not as robust. 🫠 People may experience dryness or other things like pain with s-x, urinary incontinence, frequency and pain.

Many people assume that’s just a part of aging, but you can actually do things about this! Not only by working with a pelvic specialist but seeing a provider that can talk to you about all the hormone therapy options because there are a ton and there’s a lot of new data on the benefits and safety of using them!

The research shows that topical localized estrogen cream is a great way to resupplement the tissue mentioned earlier so that it gets what it needs directly where it’s needed. 💃🏻

But Knowing about the changes that will occur during (peri)menopause can help people be able to have conversations with their doctors and make informed decisions about their health.

If you are having these symptoms and/ or you are in or talk to your doctor to see what options would work best for you!

Happy Book Lover’s Day! 😎

For those interested in books all about some good lovin’ here are my top recs:
📚Come As Your Are by Emily Nagoski
📚S-x for One by Betty Dodson
📚The Ethical Sl-t by Dossie Easton & Janet W. Hardy
📚THE S-x and Pleasure Book by Carol Queen w/ Shar
Rednour
📚Guide to Getting It On by Paul Joannides

One of the biggest things I have learned in my career is the power of education, and sadly our country is lacking in the s-x education department. Therefore, you may need to do some solo studies.

There are so many books out there, so please don’t take these as the only options. Check out my little bookshop on Bookshop.org US for my full list 💃🏻

For those of you that aren’t non-fiction fans, I will be sharing a list of some of my favorite fiction reads to help fill your l***y library. So keep your eyes peeled.
Until then, go support your local bookshop or the library today and everyday!

Apparently today is “Female Oh! Day!” 💦 And who am I to say no to a wonderful holiday?

Majority of women need clit0r@l stimulation to climax and most people don’t finish with penne tray shun alone. That’s why I am a big fan of vibes for both solo and partnered play, to help ensure the right body parts are getting proper attention 🥰

And just a reminder that m@sturbation is not reserved for single people. People in relationships can and do engage in solo s*x. It is not weird and it is totally healthy.

These same people can own and use vibes, di**0s or any variety of s-x toys. These items are not reserved for singles. In fact, adding toys into partnered s-x can be a fun way to mix things up.

Bottomline: having a partner, or even partners, should not prevent you from enjoying amorous alone time or benefiting from some good vibes.
How will you celebrate today? Need a vibe rec? Shoot me a DM or comment VIBE and we’ll chat! 😎

It’s so felt like sharing some of the posts I saw recently that spoke to me or made me laugh.

Also just a friendly reminder than con doms are a great option because they not only prevent unwanted pregnancy, but they also help protect against STIs/STDs 👏
Share your fave to spread some laughs or remind people that books are magical. 🙌

It’s time for another 😎

I was pretty excited to get Linger from SERIKA a cute little finger vibe. Perfect for both solo and partner play. It’s waterproof, easy to use and pretty quiet with a nice range of intensity settings.

This would be a great way to bring a toy into partner play if you haven’t done so before. 🥵
