All you need is love...and a little Beatlemania! Our Memory Care community traveled aboard the Yellow Submarine for the annual block party filled with music, treats, family, and far-out decorations. The highlight of the afternoon was singing along to Beatles classics with our music therapist, Scott, and posing in front of the famous Abbey Road crosswalk.

A lovely day for an urban adventure! The Frank Residences Walking Group made their way across the city with Fitness Trainer Coco to explore the Salesforce Park Loop. Residents strolled the scenic 0.6-mile trail and were treated to an impromptu piano performance along the way. Taking advantage of San Francisco's beautiful and accessible public spaces is just one of the many ways our residents stay connected to the city around them.

As summer comes to a close, we celebrated our amazing interns and the impact they made across campus. They shared presentations reflecting on their time shadowing teams in nearly every department, from the rehab gym and nursing units to reception, marketing, admissions, development, and life enrichment.

A common theme in their presentations stood out: the connections they made with residents and patients. As one intern said, "This experience reminded me that every resident has a unique story to tell." We're grateful for the energy and compassion these interns brought to SFCJL, and we're excited to see what their next chapter holds. Thank you to Jewish Family and Children's Services and Enterprise for Youth for your ongoing partnership.

July 25, 2026 was officially designated San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living Day! To mark our 155th anniversary, Mayor Daniel Lurie issued a proclamation recognizing our organization as a “cornerstone of compassionate care in San Francisco, supporting older adults with dignity, purpose, and respect.”

Our campus-wide celebration brought together staff, leadership, donors, volunteers, board members, patients, residents, and elected officials from across the city. A special thank you to San Francisco Supervisors Rafael Mandelman, Myrna Melgar 梅義加 District 7 Supervisor, Matt Dorsey, and our own District 11 Supervisor Chyanne Chen for sharing stories of SFCJL's impact over the years, including personal reflections on family members who received care here.

Our legacy may span 155 years, but we're just getting started. We look forward to being a trusted resource in our community for many generations to come.

Residents and community members came together for a valuable workshop led by certified financial planner—and SFCJL board member—Jeffrey Zlot. They learned how essential it is to keep estate plans updated as tax laws shift and families grow and change. Mr. Zlot provided a fresh perspective on legacy planning and shared tips for how to start conversations with adult children that are rooted in shared understanding. Thank you to everyone who participated in this session!

A career in healthcare was practically in Nikki Binza’s DNA, as both her mom and brother work as nurses on Campus. Nikki found her own path as an intake coordinator on the Admissions team, where success relies on seamless communication and coordination. She shares why it's so meaningful to see a patient's journey come full circle, and how gratitude sometimes arrives in the form of cookies. https://vist.ly/5b7f9
