Low back pain sucks… And it’s scary.

Neither of which is true.
Light to moderate movement within intolerance is one of the best things you can do really for any acute pain.
Keep in mind that most of the pain is in that initial acute window of the first 3 to 5 days. After which it should get better, and like Don says above, significant percentage of low back pain will completely resolve in six weeks.
Physical therapy and specifically spinal manipulation has been shown to expedite that timeline when applied early, along with patient education, including pain science, and what to expect throughout the healing phases of acute low back pain episodes.
