Robbie Foundation RF helps children with special needs by funding adaptive equipment, assistive technology & therapies.

The Robbie Foundation is dedicated to assisting children with developmental disabilities* (including, but not limited to physical disabilities, speech and language delays, sensory integrated disorders, cerebral palsy, brain injury, autism spectrum disorders, mental retardation). We serve children between the ages of birth and 20 years residing in the state of Maine. Our primary mission is to fund

adaptive equipment, assistive technology, therapy treatment and/or any necessary item not covered by insurance. By providing such services, our hope is to improve the quality of life for children with special needs.

Halloween will be here before we know it, and we're getting ready for some spooky, silly, creative fun!

Our Robbie Foundation Kids Halloween Costume Contest is coming soon. Start thinking about those costumes, gather your little ghosts and goblins, and keep an eye out for details on how to enter.

We can't wait to see what the kiddos come up with! 👻 More details next month.

At age 13, Norman was awarded an adaptive tricycle.

Adaptive tricycles can give children greater independence, mobility, and opportunities to participate in everyday activities. 💙

We’re proud to support Norman and help make movement and recreation more accessible.

Every family’s journey is different. Even when children share a diagnosis, their needs, challenges, and experiences can look completely different. 💙

Still, there are common threads that connect parents...finding the right support, encouraging acceptance, navigating school and community life, and wondering what the future may hold.

You’re not alone. Sometimes, reaching out and connecting with others can provide the support, understanding, or answers you didn’t know you were looking for!

Adaptive tricycles are specially designed to meet a child's unique physical needs, with features that provide additional support, stability, and positioning. They help improve balance, muscle strength, endurance, and motor skills while promoting cardiovascular health and physical activity. 💚

Beyond the physical benefits, adaptive tricycles give children the freedom to participate in outdoor recreation alongside family and friends, fostering inclusion, social interaction, and self-confidence.
