One of the most common questions I get from parents of young athletes is:

“Can my child still play sports with braces?” ⚽🏈🎾

The answer is absolutely!

Braces shouldn’t keep kids from doing the activities they love. Whether it’s football, soccer, basketball, softball, or gymnastics, staying active is important for both physical health and confidence.

The one thing I always recommend? Wearing a mouthguard during practices and games.

A mouthguard helps:
✅ Protect braces and teeth from impact
✅ Reduce the risk of cuts to lips and cheeks
✅ Help prevent unexpected orthodontic emergencies

A little protection can go a long way when sports and smiles collide. 😎
