🏡 A Little Help Can Make a Big Difference.

Mom is still independent. Dad is doing pretty well on his own. But maybe you've started noticing the little things.

The laundry is piling up. Meals aren't being prepared like they used to be. Or perhaps they're spending more time alone than you'd like.

Needing a little help doesn't mean giving up independence. Sometimes, it's exactly what helps preserve it. ❤️

At Love In Home Senior Care, we provide personalized support with everyday activities, companionship, meal preparation, transportation, and more.

We're locally owned, family-operated, and have been serving our Spokane-area community since 2013.

These everyday details matter.

Have you postponed your own appointment because you didn’t want to leave your loved one alone?

Family caregivers often put their own needs at the bottom of the list. A checkup gets rescheduled. Plans with a friend get canceled. A much-needed afternoon off never happens.

Respite care gives you time to step away while your loved one has companionship and help at home.

Use that time for your own health, errands, a quiet lunch or simply a break. You don’t need to fill every free hour with another responsibility.

Call Love In Home Senior Care at (509) 474-0663 to discuss respite care and schedule a free assessment.

You don’t have to figure out every future care need today.

Start with one question:

“What part of the day feels hardest?”

Maybe getting dressed takes more energy than it used to. Preparing lunch feels overwhelming. Or your loved one could use help settling in for the evening.

Identifying that one pressure point can make the next step feel more manageable.

At Love In Home Senior Care, we work with families to build support around daily routines, preferences, and the tasks that have become difficult.

When was the last time you visited Mom or Dad and simply enjoyed being together?

Sometimes family visits slowly become a checklist: change the sheets, prepare meals, pick up groceries, catch up on laundry, and then it’s time to leave.

Love In Home Senior Care can help with everyday tasks so your time together has more room for conversation, laughter, and connection.

You can still be involved without doing everything yourself. ❤️

Giving up driving shouldn’t mean giving up the places that make life feel familiar.
With transportation assistance from Love In Home Senior Care, older adults can continue getting out for:

🩺 Medical appointments
🛒 Grocery shopping and errands
💇 Hair and barber appointments
☕ Lunch with friends
🌳 Community activities
🏦 Banking and other personal business

Our caregivers provide more than a ride. They can help clients prepare to leave, safely get to and from the vehicle, accompany them during errands or appointments, carry groceries inside and help them settle back in at home.

It’s practical support that helps older adults remain active, connected and involved in their own lives.

Could reliable transportation make the week easier for you or someone you love? Call Love In Home Senior Care at (509) 474-0663 to schedule a free assessment.

A full refrigerator doesn’t always mean an older adult is eating well.

Preparing a meal requires several steps:

🛒 Planning and shopping
🥕 Washing, chopping and opening packages
🍳 Standing long enough to cook
🍽️ Serving the meal
🧽 Cleaning everything afterward

When pain, fatigue or limited mobility makes those steps difficult, an older adult may begin relying on snacks, skipping meals or choosing whatever requires the least effort.

A caregiver can help by preparing familiar meals, portioning leftovers, cleaning the kitchen and providing companionship at the table, all while respecting the client’s preferences.

Sometimes the barrier isn’t appetite. It’s the work required before the first bite.
Could mealtime support make someone’s week easier?

Veteran in the family? If everyday activities at home are becoming harder, it may be time to ask about VA home care support.

Finding out can feel overwhelming especially when you’re unsure who to contact or what steps to take. Love In Home Senior Care can help you understand where to begin.

As a VA-contracted home care provider, we offer families a practical guide to exploring homecare and respite benefits through the VA.

You don’t have to have all the answers before calling. Let us help you take the first step.

✅ Step 1 is coming home.
✅ Step 2 is planning the help.

Your loved one is coming home after a hospital stay or rehabilitation. Who will help once they get there?

Before the homecoming, talk through the practical details:

✔️ Who will prepare meals and pick up groceries?
✔️ Will they need help bathing, dressing, or using the bathroom?
✔️ Who will keep up with laundry and household tasks?
✔️ What help is needed while family members are at work?
✔️ If home health is involved, who will help between scheduled visits?

Home health and non-medical home care serve different needs. Home health may provide services such as nursing or therapy. Home care helps with the everyday activities that still need attention between those visits.

Love In Home Senior Care can help families plan non-medical support for the transition home. Contact us before discharge when possible so there is time to discuss needs and scheduling.

Sometimes the need for help shows up in everyday routines long before a family knows what to do next.

Maybe Dad is eating snacks instead of preparing meals. Mom is wearing the same clothes because laundry has become tiring. Or your parent is putting off bathing because it feels difficult to manage alone.

These are opportunities to ask what would make life easier, without judging or taking over.

Try starting with:
“What part of your day feels like the most work?”
“Is there something you’d enjoy having help with?”

At Love In Home Senior Care, we help with everyday needs such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, companionship, and personal care. Together, we can discuss support that fits your loved one’s routines and preferences.

💛 You don’t have to figure it all out before calling. Schedule a free assessment and let’s talk through your options.
