Yellow Rock Treatment Center

Yellow Rock Behavioral Health is a psychiatric residential treatment center that is specifically designed for children and adolescents ages 12-17 who are having difficulties with problematic sexual behaviors that are complicated by mental illness. Our residential program treats both issues simultaneously through a multidisciplinary treatment approach to better ensure for a successful recovery. Through our program we help our patients learn to take responsibility for both their problematic sexual behaviors and any other behavioral problems they may have. Our highly structured program provides each child with an environment that promotes learning healthy coping skills, behavior management techniques, and relapse prevention techniques.

We are having all the fall fun!!! This week we took advantage of some beautiful weather to take a few residents to a local pumpkin patch to practice the skills they have learned in treatment, while enjoying the best season of all!

We love celebrating our staff and recognizing all their hard work!!! This week we had our monthly town hall where we had some great training from our nursing and clinical department on our procedures and coping techniques. We gave away some fun Halloween gift baskets just for attending the meeting, and some great prizes to our staff that picked up extra shifts, were 100% compliant on observe smart, and for just being an overall Rockstar!!!

Residents at our new CRI program celebrated Hispanic heritage Month! Our residents had a blast celebrating Hispanic culture through creativity, color, and delicious food! They showed off their artistic talents by painting beautiful flower pots, creating festive paper decorations, and getting hands-On in the kitchen learning how to make delicious carne asada tacos!

Our recreational therapy department along with our program manager took some kids out to play video games and have a special ice cream treat to celebrate all their hard work in treatment!

A huge shout out and thank you to the New England Patriots for responding to the letter one of our residents sent! We are so proud of how much our students are learning from the NFeLementey program and so thankful for the teams that are supporting our residents!
