More people are taking the courageous step of seeking support for substance use and recovery, and BHN's Brockton Medication Treatment & Recovery Program recently reached a milestone of 105 patients served.

To mark the occasion, BHN Medical Director Dr. Ruth Potee continued a favorite tradition by baking a homemade carrot cake for the team. 🎂

Behind this milestone are individuals who have reached out for help, as well as the healthcare providers, recovery professionals, community partners, and peer supporters working together to ensure treatment and recovery resources are available.

Meet Maggie, a sweet service dog who will be joining us on November 21 at our International Survivors of Su***de Loss Day event. This event offers a supportive space for survivors of su***de loss to heal, find hope, and build connection with others who understand the journey of losing a loved one to su***de.

Spend the day with fellow survivors through breakout groups, activities, lunch, and an inspiring documentary focused on resilience, healing, and growth.

BHN was proud to attend the BusinessWest Healthcare Heroes event and celebrate Dr. Ruth Potee's recognition as a member of the 2026 class of honorees.

Joining Dr. Potee were Kathy Mague, Senior Vice President; Kevin McCarthy, Senior Program Manager; Leslie Gonsalves, Assistant Director of Nursing; and Lisa Yin, Assistant Vice President.

A nationally recognized leader in addiction medicine, Dr. Potee continues to advance recovery through her advocacy, education, mentorship, and dedication to expanding access to evidence-based care. We are grateful for all she does to support individuals, families, colleagues, and communities across Massachusetts.
