The 5th For the Love of Black Art, by ing was such an experimental e of culture, context & creativity.

Thanks so much for having 🎨 Art-to-Heart grace the presence of the room and leave its mark in the final bash.

✍🏿✍🏾The “Community Canvases” brought people with and without art experience to leave their mark in Tampa history.

Small Business Month is more than celebrating entrepreneurship, it’s recognizing the character, integrity, and leadership required to lead with purpose.

💡As a Workplace Wellness Consultant, I teach that true headmanship is not just about being in charge; it’s about having the wisdom to serve, the discipline to stay grounded, and the courage to make decisions that impact others with intention.

📈As small business owners, our leadership sets the tone for our teams, our clients, and our communities. May we continue to build businesses rooted in vision, humility, accountability and authentic leadership.

🌱✨Here’s to the leaders who understand that success is not only measured by profit, but by character.

Through creativity, conversation, and community, Art to Heart Expressive ArtTherapy Program partnered with at Academy Prep Center of Lakeland to equip youth with tools that nurture both emotional awareness and personal growth.

Grief doesn’t just live in the parent… children feel it too, even when they don’t have the words for it, they sense absence.

🤍In my quest of deciding, How do you explain grief to a 4 year old?…I remembered that Healing doesn’t always happen through long conversations. Sometimes it happens in laughter, movement and exploratory moments of imagination.

🧠Research in child-centered play therapy shows that consistent therapeutic play can improve emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, strengthen attachment, and help children process difficult experiences in developmentally appropriate ways.

🌺Mom tip:
When a mom simply stays emotionally present during play, it creates safety. That safety helps children regulate emotions, express grief indirectly, and rebuild connection after loss or trauma.

🧩Because in those moments of play:✨ the pressure to “have it together” softens✨ connection replaces isolation✨ both parent and child feel seen without needing perfect words
✨creates a natural language to process big emotions & big life changes

❓How will you let your inner child play today?

Pausing to Bloom🌷:
In February of this year, a week after my birthday, my God-Sister, a loved one since childhood, committed su***de four hours after we hung up the phone. Initially, the first two stages of grief were denial and anger. I purposely pushed reality to the side so that I can focus on reality. God was kind enough to let me withstand and power through all of the commitments I was tied to for the month of March, then in April, He intentionally placed me at pause, so that I could properly grieve my new reality; my existence without one of the most significant attachments in my life.

It was neccessary to take my cape off and lean into the foundation of restoration, regulating my nervous system, rebalancing my hormones, holding space for the raw emotions, leaning in close to people that love me fully & releasing so I could pour.

So in the month of May, I’ll share some tools I used in the pause and reminders of the journey that

🌟To my fellow clinicians, how honored I am to be with you, to be one of you, to walk along side you & to SEE YOU!

💙💚All hail to Mental Health Awareness Month! 💙💚

🔑”Confidence is Key”…. Yea, but how do we build it? It’s through the “yes” to yourself!
🧠 tip: Your brain builds safety through clarity. Once you confirm that you can at least try something, it continues to learn safety outside of your comfort zone. The resistance is only to protect you from potential harm in the unknown.

❓ What have you considered, contemplated, tried and given up? I dare you to take the step toward the unknown and give yourself a “Yes!” It just might work out. Either way, the win is instilling the confidence within✨

Radical Acceptance: accepting exactly what is!
Usually, God gives me a word, I record it & wait for him to tell me to release it. I realized this word was planted through me, just for me in the time that I need it the most.

🧠Disappoint triggers the brain to retract as a protective factor.
🙌🏾Faith requires movement even in the disappointment.

🌻A reminder to step back in your proper placement as you radically accept the journey. Your own mess isn’t big enough to forfeit the promise.

✨What He favors, He will make room to Fit!!

Let’s not allow the routine of the day to strip away your creativity, your identity, your polarity. Professionalism doesn’t have to be so plain!

🧠: your brain responds to your world view based on the effort you pour into yourself. Lack of care in presentation impacts lack of will to be present and to present. YOU are the presentation!

🌻I get so many compliments on my combination of my masculine and feminine wardrobe, my constant hair change, my nails that tell a story in every design. So here’s a tribute to just a few moments from Q1 as somebody’s fly college professor✨

🎨Color Psychology: Baby it’s spring! Put them dark colors up and slap on some vibrancy… watch how it boosts your mood!
