We are often wary of getting older.

We are conditioned to try and halt time
and reverse the signs of ageing

And yet, whilst the ocean is billions of years old, it is no less powerful because of age.
It can still choose to carry you or drown you if it so wishes.

Whilst some trees have been growing for thousands of years, they are no less impressive than a ten year old tree.
In fact, they are more grounded and more rooted.
And with that comes incredible strength to weather any storm.

And whilst some mountains are millions of years old, they are no less formidable than those formed more recently.
They still stand tall and proud against a many billion-year-old sky.

So being old is not something to dread.
Ageing is not something that has to make us weak and small.
It can be what makes us strong.
Formidable.
And powerful.

Yes, there is so much power in ageing.
So claim it,
harness it.

And above all…

Do not be afraid to use it.

It’s been 1 year.

Since we gathered.
Since we danced.
Since we shared.
Since we cried.

Since our lives changed forever.

It’s been one year since Wild Waters, a women’s yoga and diving retreat I held with my dearest friend Michelle Dobler (.underwater) with the support of the incredible Jess Miller ()

I still can’t believe the wave of momentum we created together.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…

Magic happens when women gather. ✨🌊🙏

What if the way you experience your body now is shaping how you age later?

Our experience of menopause isn’t just physical… it’s energetic.

While genetics absolutely play a role, I can’t help but notice how deeply our relationship with ourselves and our cycle, shapes the way we move through this transition.

In cultures where aging is honored, where women are revered for their wisdom, there are significantly fewer reported menopausal related symptoms.

Because the way we relate to our bodies now…
the way we experience our period…
the way we listen (or don’t listen)…

It all becomes the foundation for how we move through every phase that follows.

This is why I believe menstrual cycle awareness and body literacy are the roots of this work.

And the most important part?

It’s never too late (or early) to begin.
