Lucas County Suicide Prevention

Lucas County Suicide Prevention Our coalition is committed to raising awareness, reducing the stigma surrounding mental health, and connecting our community to education, resources, and hope.

Together, we can create a community where it's okay to ask for help. Strategy: The Lucas County Suicide Prevention Coalition seeks the elimination of all suicide attempts and completions in Lucas County. The larger coalition is comprised of citizens from the community interested in preventing suicides/attempts. It meets to discuss prevention activities and to exchange information. The leadership B

oard meets more frequently and sets the agenda for the coalition and develops multiple activities aimed at eliminating suicides in Lucas County. It is comprised of leaders in suicide prevention, survivors of suicide and professional staff who value collaboration and consensus decision making as a means of fulfilling its mission

Together, we can reduce stigma, increase awareness, and build a community where people feel safe asking for help.

๐Ÿ’œ September is Su***de Prevention Month.
This month, the Lucas County Su***de Prevention Coalition is encouraging our community to do something simple but powerful:
START THE CONVERSATION.

Ask how someone is really doing.
Listen without judgment.
Let people know they are not alone.
Help connect them to support.

Su***de prevention isn't just the responsibility of professionals. It belongs to all of us.
Together, we can reduce stigma, increase awareness, and build a community where people feel safe asking for help.

๐Ÿ“ž Call or text 988 if you or someone you know needs support.

Stepping up to the plate for what matters most! โšพ๏ธ

โค๏ธWe are trading our usual weekday routine for some sunshine, ballpark snacks, and a whole lot of community love at a Toledo Mud Hens baseball game!!

Baseball is a team sport, and in life, none of us play alone. Today weโ€™re cheering loud, breaking the stigma, and reminding everyone in the stands and on the field that your mental health matters just as much as your batting average!๐Ÿ’ฌ

Drop a โšพ๏ธ in the comments if youโ€™re joining us or supporting from home!๐Ÿง  Remember: If you or someone you know is struggling or in crisis, help is always available. Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, 24/7, free, and confidential.
