It's so fun when our former interns stop by! Sandy is a bilingual speech-language pathologist and is building a practice for Spanish speaking clients now that she is back in St. Louis. Amazing!

Kirkwood Parents as Teachers - we found one of Myrtle’s Turtles at Kirkwood ECC today! 😍

10/28/2026

The Walker Family legacy continues to touch so many hearts and lives. Today Ms. Kara discovered one of the many “Myrtle’s Turtles” out in the community. This one is at Kirkwood ECC, and was dedicated to the first Coordinator of the Kirkwood PAT program. So many children look forward to talking to, waving at, hugging or sitting on this turtle each and every day…do you see the discoloration from where they sit?? 😍🐢😆 It was truly an honor to not only teach the Kirkwood PATs about the Clinic and our mission, but to also enlighten them about the connection with the Walker family in their own “front yard.” ❤️ Maryville University Walker College of Health ProfessionsKirkwood Parents as Teachers

Thank you to everyone who supported the KidTalk Celebration Gala! The kids' hand-painted stone turtles stole the show! And every child who made them reminds us of why we do what we do. 🙌Thank you for helping children communicate!
