The Clinic, a program of Maryville University, is committed to teaching two through six-year-old children with speech and language disorders the communication skills necessary to succeed in school and throughout their lives. The Clinic's speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are licensed by the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts and are certified in speech-language pathology by the American Speech

-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Hanen Centre. Services provided by the Clinic include:
Speech and Language Screenings
Speech and Language Evaluations
Individal or Group Speech and Language Therapy
Audiological Screenings and Evaluations(limited to those enrolled in therapy programs)
Parent Education and Training

The “200 by Two” Parent Resource from California Speech-Language-Hearing Association provides trusted information to help families understand how communication skills develop in the early years. It includes helpful tools, videos, and links to guide you in recognizing age-appropriate language milestones and knowing when to seek support.

This resource can help you:
• Learn what communication skills to expect in young children
• Recognize early signs that extra support may be needed
