What do I do at Isaiah’s Place?
As Director of Family Services, I get to wear a lot of hats! I work with families from the beginning of their foster/adopt journey through licensing and beyond—training, supporting, problem-solving, developing programs, and helping our team make sure families and children in care have what they need to thrive.
Why do I love what I do?
Because families matter to me! I love helping caregivers understand the why behind a child’s behavior and giving them tools that build connection instead of just managing behavior. I also love getting to create new trainings, resources, and supports that make the foster care journey a little less overwhelming and remind families that they don’t have to do it alone.
How long have I done this?
I’ve spent more than 30 years working with children and families as a teacher, college instructor, administrator, trainer, and now in foster care and adoption. Each role has built on the one before it—and somehow I’m still learning something new all the time. ❤️
