✨Meet one of our amazing Behavior Technicians at Northwest ABA - Rachel!

1. Why did you choose to work as a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)?
💙I chose to work as a CBT to develop interpersonal skills such as communication, patience, and understanding. I enjoy working with children from diverse backgrounds and collaborating with families to provide exceptional services at Northwest ABA.

2. What motivates you to come to work every day?
💚I am motivated by the opportunity to make a difference in children's lives by helping them build essential life and communication skills. I also love being creative with play and seeing their progress; knowing they enjoy our sessions makes my day.

3. What are some challenges you face as a CBT?
💙Handling challenging behaviors can be overwhelming at times, but my role is to teach kids coping strategies to help them decompress and ensure their safety.

4. What are your career or personal aspirations?
💚My career goal is to eventually become a mental health therapist. I plan to pursue a Master’s in Social Work to better advocate for my clients and provide them with the resources they deserve. Personally, I strive to overcome any challenges that come my way and continue spreading kindness.

We’re looking for a BCBA who is passionate about supporting the ASD community, developing thoughtful behavior support plans, coaching and mentoring CBTs, collaborating with families, and using data to guide progress in real-world settings.

Respite care provides short-term support so primary caregivers can take a break, recharge, and take care of their own needs—while ensuring their loved one continues to receive quality care and support. It can happen in the home or community and may last from a few hours to several days depending on the need.
