🌱 Weekend plans? Around here, that usually means mowing, edging, weeding, and tackling the never-ending yard work list!
While you’re taking care of your lawn, don’t forget to take care of your spine too.
✅ On a riding mower:
• Sit all the way back in the seat
• Keep your shoulders relaxed
• Avoid leaning forward or twisting repeatedly to look behind you
• Take breaks if you’re mowing large areas
✅ On a push mower:
• Stand tall with your ears, shoulders, and hips aligned
• Keep your core engaged
• Walk behind the mower rather than reaching forward
• Alternate directions when possible to avoid repetitive stress
Whether you’re spending 30 minutes or 3 hours in the yard, poor posture and repetitive movements can leave you feeling stiff, sore, and achy by Monday morning.
If the weekend yard work wins and your back loses, we’re here to help! 🌿
