Welcome to Pivot, formally the Alcohol & Substance Abuse Council of Jefferson County, Inc. Pivot offers a wide variety of information, services, and programs for you, your family, your co-workers, your school and our community. Pivot Prevention Services—for information or help with alcohol abuse or alcoholism, underage drinking, substance abuse, problem gambling, and tobacco use, and self-help group listings. In Jefferson County, New York State Impaired Driver Program (IDP) classes are offered through Pivot. Products- Array of Student Services, Impaired Driver Program (IDP),
Prevention Counseling, Teen Intervene, Prevention Needs Assessment, Self Screening Tools, Education Presentations, Promoting Health & Wellness Activities

What an AMAZING 2026 Red Ribbon Week! All 5 Lewis County school districts joined the celebration, and more than 200 students pledged to live drug-free! 🙌

Students made their mark by signing hundreds of smaller red ribbons displayed across two giant canvases, along with one BIG red ribbon filled with their signatures! ❤️ What a powerful way to show that we all have the power to make a difference!

A HUGE THANK YOU to our schools, students, & staff, for making this year’s celebration a SUCCESS!

What a great day of learning, connection, and collaboration! Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the 2026 Knowledge is Power Drug Education Summit, featuring Tall Cop Says Stop™.

This summit brought together professionals from across the community who work in prevention, education, public health, law enforcement, recovery, youth services, and other areas connected to substance use prevention and community well-being. Your willingness to learn, share knowledge, and work together helps strengthen our ability to recognize emerging trends and better support the people we serve. 🤝
