On Friday, May 29, 2026, we celebrated the career of Wanda Laramore. Wanda has served as a nurse for PCHC since 2018 and has been our Director of Nursing since 2019. Wanda began her nursing career as a school nurse in Iberia and then spent more than two decades working as an infirmary nurse in prison systems in Missouri and across the country. She had dedicated her life to public service and we were honored to have her in Public Health at the end of her nursing tenure.

Anita Ivey, City of St.Robert Administrator, presented a Resolution of Retirement to Wanda on behalf of the City of St. Robert. Wanda has assisted the City in many ways over the years, including navigating the pandemic and showing up every year to provide flu shots for city employees.

While she is retired, she has agreed to continue to help us with big clinics and when we are short staffed so you may still see her around.

Congratulations Wanda! We are excited to see what this next chapter holds for you!
