Wanted to thank everyone in the tractor parade that came out Circle Drive on Memorial Day. It’s always something all the residents look forward to and this year was definitely no different. They really enjoyed seeing all the tractors and visiting with everyone that had stopped out. It was a beautiful day and wonderful moment of community! Thanks again from everyone at CDM!

This yodeling jokester turns 91 today! Happy Birthday Pat!

Rudy our Greek tortoise of 23 years ( age unknown) passed away. She lived her best life at CDM. She was always warm, well feed and enjoyed her little quiet home in the corner of the family room. She fit right in as one of the residents and as we often said our easiest resident too.

She loved dandelions and when I saw my first bloom of the season I of course picked it for her. She normally would come running( as fast as a tortoise can run) when she smelled them. When I gave it to her she didn’t move so I knew she wasn’t well.

Some residents have said it seemed like she would come out and dance when we had music and was always right there for activities and potlucks. She took to many of our residents over the years especially those who brought her dandelions, talked to her and pet her head. She entertained and brought many questions from families and children who visited as well.

She will be missed. We hope she’s enjoying herself in a field of dandelions now.
