Be safe out there- Air Quality in the Westport CT area is Unhealthy today. What does that mean for you and your children?

Everyone should Limit time outside: Sensitive groups—including children, older adults, pregnant individuals, and those with asthma or heart conditions—should avoid the outdoors entirely

- Keep all windows and doors shut to prevent outdoor pollutants from entering.
-Filter your air: If you have central air or a window unit, set the intake to "recirculate" rather than drawing in outside air.
-Postpone outdoor workouts
- wear a mask: Standard surgical and cloth masks do little to block fine particles. If you must be outside, wear an N95.

There's been a lot on the news about a diarrhea parasitic outbreak caused by cyclospora- generally causing persistent recurrent watery diarrhea, it can require medication treatment to fully get rid of it. In general diarrhea should be evaluated if it is severe, persistent, blood or mucus present in stools or occurring with fever or known exposure to infectious diarrhea.
