You may have heard about some controversy when it comes to med spas. 😬 Specifically, in regards to safety. So lets talk about the facts, and what exactly you should expect from your med spa. (And we aren’t talking bare minimum 🙅‍♀️)

North Carolina requires med spas to be physician-owned and supervised, and while that physician should be knowledgeable about the treatments offered, they are not required to specialize in aesthetic medicine. There’s also no rule about how often they must physically be on-site. These regulations set a standard for med spas... but not a very high one.
