💜 Power, Positivity, and Peace 💜

Today, NAMI Mahoning Valley was honored to attend Purple Positive Youth, a Youth Mental Health First Aid series presented by Inspiring Minds Youngstown!

In recognition of National Su***de Prevention Month, scholars created a safe and welcoming space where participants could learn to recognize signs of mental health challenges, explore healthy coping strategies, and build connections through compassion, creativity, and community.

This incredible event empowered young people to engage in open conversations about mental health, emotional wellness, healing, and peer support.

We are grateful to Inspiring Minds for investing in the well-being of our youth and fostering conversations that help break the stigma surrounding mental health. 🫶🏻

September is Recovery Month in Trumbull County! 💜 We’re proud to share that the Trumbull County Board of Commissioners has officially proclaimed September 2026 as Recovery Month in Trumbull County, in conjunction with National Recovery Month.

This month is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and progress of individuals in recovery from mental health and substance use challenges—and to recognize the importance of access to information, treatment, support, and recovery resources.

Recovery is possible. Healing is possible. And every step forward is worth celebrating. 💜
