🩵 Friday Feature 🩵

This week we’re celebrating Justin and an incredible milestone in his recovery journey.

After sustaining a C3/C4 spinal cord injury in a mountain biking accident 10 years ago, Justin has continued to prove that progress is built through determination, consistency, and resilience.

A major achievement was reaching his goal of walking 1.1km. The first video shows Justin completing that incredible walk, while the second is a progress video from five years ago, highlighting just how far he had already come on his journey.

Justin’s story is a powerful reminder that persistence, dedication, and hard work can lead to extraordinary achievements. We’re incredibly proud to be part of your journey, Justin! 😊

What is the Equal Access Programme (EAP)?

At the Enable Centre, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality rehabilitation, regardless of their financial circumstances. 💚

Our Equal Access Programme (EAP) helps bridge the gap by providing access to rehabilitation services for individuals who may not otherwise be able to afford ongoing care.

In this Reel, our practitioners answer some important questions:

✨ What is EAP? ✨ Who can benefit from it? ✨ Why is EAP important for the community? ✨ How can someone access the programme?

Every donation, sponsorship, and act of support helps us continue making rehabilitation more accessible to those who need it most. 🤝

📩 If you’d like to support the EAP or find out whether you or a loved one may qualify, please contact the Enable Centre, send us a DM or click the link below.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference, one patient, one family, and one community at a time. 🌍💚

🌟 Friday Feature: Taylor Nelson & Jesus Rodriguez 🌟

We’re delighted to welcome Taylor and Jesus to our physiotherapy team for a few weeks! 💛

Taylor joins us from the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam, Netherlands 🇳🇱, where she is completing her final clinical placement. Originally from California, USA 🇺🇸, she also holds a degree in Biology and has gained valuable international clinical experience across Australia, Malta, and now South Africa. Taylor has a growing interest in neurological rehabilitation and evidence-based practice, and we’re excited to have her enthusiasm, curiosity, and compassionate approach as part of the Enable team. 🌿💙

Jesus Rodriguez joins us from Pacific University in Oregon, USA 🇺🇸, where he is a third-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student. He brings experience from two outpatient orthopedic clinical rotations, as well as previous placements in acute care and inpatient neurological rehabilitation.

Jesus and Taylor both enjoy hiking 🥾, running 🏃‍♂️, spending time with friends and family ❤️, and exploring new food 🍜 and coffee ☕ spots.

✨ Fun fact: Jesus is currently training for a marathon and will be taking on the southernmost marathon on the African continent this September! 🏅🌍

We’re thrilled to have Taylor and Jesus join the Enable family and look forward to the knowledge, energy, and compassionate care they’ll bring to our patients. Please join us in giving them a warm welcome! 💙👏
