🎨 Learning through painting!

We explored colour mixing by combining primary colours to discover how new colours are created. A fun, hands-on activity that supports learning, creativity, fine-motor skills and following instructions. All this while having fun! 😃

Red + Yellow = Orange 🧡
Red + Blue = Purple 💜
Yellow + Blue = Green 💚

Learning is always more meaningful when we can see it, do it and experience it!

Did you see us driving around Durban this week? 🚗👀

Last Wednesday, we officially kicked off our marketing drive! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be popping into schools, doctors rooms and other practices to put a face to our brand and share a little more about what we do 💙

Last week was incredibly successful, and we’re so grateful to all the schools and practices who welcomed us with open arms. We even left a few places with gifts ourselves! 🤭

We’re looking forward to seeing you around Durban & the North Coast! 🚗💙

Throwback to one of our favourite Teens Trivia social events! 🧠🎉

At Guided Strides, inclusion isn’t something we add in afterwards, it’s something we plan for from the very beginning.

Here’s how we made our trivia event accessible and enjoyable for everyone:

✨ We asked each teen about their interests beforehand, then included trivia categories based on what they loved, ensuring everyone had topics they could connect with.

✨ Everyone received a prize after the event across a variety of categories, not just for getting the most answers right. This celebrated participation, effort, teamwork, enthusiasm, and each person’s unique strengths.

✨ Each participant had a turn to answer, rather than rewarding only the quickest person to respond. This reduced pressure, gave everyone time to process, and ensured every voice was heard.

💙 The benefits of this approach:

* Builds confidence by creating opportunities for success.
* Reduces anxiety associated with competition and time pressure.
* Encourages turn-taking, patience, and active listening.
* Promotes self-esteem by recognising each individual’s strengths.
* Creates a sense of belonging where everyone feels valued.
* Supports social communication and positive peer interactions.
* Makes the experience fun, engaging, and genuinely inclusive for all.

A huge thank you to all the amazing teens and families who joined us and made the afternoon so special. Your enthusiasm, kindness, and willingness to support one another are what make these events so meaningful.

As we head back to school, we’re filling our backpacks with more than just books, we’re packing them with kindness, confidence, respect, perseverance, and a love for learning. Every small goal is another step towards a successful and rewarding term.
