‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’ – Nelson Mandela
Our colleagues recently visited Elsies River High School as part of our annual Keep a Child in School initiative, where Deli Spices hosted an inspiring seminar for Grade 11 learners.
The aim was to encourage and empower learners to pursue their dreams, regardless of their circumstances.
Speakers from our team shared their personal journeys, including the challenges they faced in education and the steps they took to build successful careers. They highlighted the importance of perseverance and determination, while showing learners that their background does not have to define their future.
The learners were also introduced to a variety of career paths within the food industry, opening their eyes to opportunities they may not have previously considered.
A sincere thank you to our dedicated colleagues for sharing their experiences and helping inspire the next generation:
• Devon Coetzee, Raw Material Warehouse Manager
• Kelly Hendricks, Human Resources Manager
• Melissa Daniels, Material Requirement Planning Analyst
• Stephan Nxumalo, Technical Sales Consultant
