Yes — the Springbok has very good eyesight. They rely heavily on vision to detect predators across open grasslands and semi-desert areas in southern Africa. Key points include excellent long-distance vision, wide field of view and good motion detection. Their famous high jumping behaviour, called “pronking” may also help signal to predators that they’ve already been spotted.
