The principles that guide every session, every workshop and every conversation we have at Frontline Mental Health.

These aren't something we came up with in a boardroom. They're the standards we held ourselves to in service and they're the standards we bring to everything we do at FMH.

Our team come from Military, Police, Emergency Services and community mental health backgrounds. The way we show up for our clients is the same way we showed up for the people beside us.

Our Co-Founder and Educator Matt Newlands shares his perspective on the Boulder Crest Foundation and what Posttraumatic Growth means to him personally.

Matt served as an SA Police Officer and knows first-hand what it's like to carry the weight of the job home with you. His own experience navigating PTSD from his policing career is a big part of why he does this work.

Everyone talks about PTSD. But Posttraumatic Growth is the other side of that conversation. The idea that your toughest experiences, when supported the right way, can become the foundation for real growth. Not just getting back to where you were, but actually moving forward.

Matt and Narelle have completed their facilitator accreditation with Boulder Crest in the US and are now delivering the Struggle Well program to Military and First Responder communities across Australia.

Something we've been working on is almost here.

Next month, we're opening up free access to PTG for Life, a self-guided online course from the Boulder Crest Foundation built on the science of Posttraumatic Growth.

Around 3 hours. At your own pace. Video instruction, workbook exercises and recommended reading. This is normally a paid program but we've partnered with Boulder Crest to give our community complimentary access to everything, at no cost.

Our Co-Founder and Educator, Narelle Mason shares her perspective on the Boulder Crest Foundation and why the Struggle Well program matters for Australian Military and First Responder communities.

As a former SA Police Officer and Air Force member, Narelle has experienced firsthand what it means to carry the weight of service. That's why she's passionate about bringing programs like Struggle Well to Australia.

Struggle Well is built on the science of Posttraumatic Growth. The idea that struggle, when supported the right way, can become a catalyst for real and lasting growth. Not just surviving the hard stuff, but actually coming out the other side stronger. Narelle and Matt have completed their accreditation with Boulder Crest in the US and are now certified facilitators delivering the program here in Australia.

Do you know which one you're dealing with? πŸ‘†

Being tired after a tough week is normal. Your body recovers, you bounce back and you get on with it.

Burnout is different. And if you're a Paramedic, Police Officer, Firefighter, Defence Member or any frontline worker and that right column is hitting close to home, that's not a character flaw. That's your body telling you something needs to change.

You were trained to respond. You weren't trained to run on empty forever.

Our Counsellors come from Military, Police, Emergency Services and community mental health backgrounds. They understand what burnout actually looks like in high-pressure roles.
