"I'll be right."

It's one of the most common things I hear from men in practice.

Usually followed by:

"I wake up feeling like I'm ninety."

"It takes me an hour to get moving."

"I get through the day, but once I sit on the couch, it catches up with me."

Many men push through discomfort for far longer than they should. But when pain starts affecting your sleep, energy, exercise and quality of life, it may be time to stop ignoring it.

This Men's Health Week, I'd encourage you to check in with yourself—or someone you care about.

Because looking after your health isn't weakness.

It's responsibility.

“I’ll be right.”

It’s one of the most common things I hear from men in practice.

Usually followed by:

➡️ “I wake up feeling like I’m ninety.”
➡️ “It takes me an hour to get moving.”
➡️ “I get through the day, but once I sit on the couch, it catches up with me.”

Many men put up with back pain, neck pain and stiffness for far longer than they should.

Not because they’re weak.

Because they’re busy.
Because they’re responsible.
Because they think they’ll push through.

But pain doesn’t just affect your body.

It can affect your sleep, energy, exercise and quality of life too.

This Men’s Health Week, I’d encourage you to check in with yourself—or perhaps someone you care about.

Because looking after your health isn’t weakness.

It’s responsibility.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is stop saying “I’ll be right” and take the first step.

💙MEN’S HEALTH WEEK | 15-21 June 💙

Men’s Health Week is an opportunity to highlight the importance of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, and to encourage men and boys to take positive steps towards better health.

Too often, men put themselves last or wait until something becomes serious before seeking help.

This week is a reminder that looking after your health isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength.

Simple things can make a big difference:

✓ Move your body regularly
✓ Prioritise sleep and recovery
✓ Manage stress
✓ Stay connected with family and mates
✓ Have regular health checks
✓ Reach out when you need support

At The Chiropractic Domain, we believe health is about more than simply being pain-free. Our goal is to help people move well, adapt well and continue doing the things they love.

Strong men look after their health.

Your health.
Your family.
Your future.

We’ve got your back. 💙

This statistic stopped me in my tracks:

2 in 3 Australians with back pain say it impacts their mental health.

Honestly, I see that every day.

That’s why we always try to look beyond where it hurts.

We don’t attend seminars because we’re required to. We attend because we believe our patients deserve our best.

This weekend, Dr Jo Dee and Dr Paula had the privilege of attending Innate Summit, one of the largest gatherings of chiropractors from around the world.

What inspires us most about chiropractic is that there is always more to learn. We are passionate about continually refining our understanding of the science, art and philosophy of chiropractic—not for our benefit, but for the people and families who trust us with their care.

Events like this challenge us to think differently, grow professionally, and reconnect with the purpose behind what we do every day.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn from some of the profession’s leading voices and excited to bring fresh ideas, renewed energy, and an even deeper commitment to serving our community back to The Chiropractic Domain.

💙 Always learning. Always growing. Always striving to serve better.

Following on from this week’s blog: Can Your Neck Actually Be Causing Your Headaches?

Here’s the 30-second version 🎥

If your headaches tend to build later in the day — especially after hours at a desk, on your phone, driving, or carrying stress through your shoulders — your neck may be part of the picture.

When the neck joints aren’t moving well, the surrounding muscles often have to work harder. Over time, that can contribute to tension, fatigue, and for some people, headaches.

This doesn’t mean every headache comes from the neck — but it’s an important area to consider, especially if you also notice neck tightness, shoulder tension, or reduced movement.

This quote stopped me scrolling today.

As a chiropractor, I spend a lot of time talking about stress and the nervous system. And while a chiropractic adjustment can help restore movement and provide an important “reset” for the body, it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

The reality is that most of us are asking our nervous systems to process more information in a single day than previous generations dealt with in weeks.

Notifications.
Emails.
News.
Social media.
Endless opinions.
Constant demands on our attention.

No wonder so many people feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or like they can never quite switch off.

A healthy nervous system isn’t built by adjustments alone.

It’s also built by the daily habits that allow your body to recover and adapt:

🌿 Fresh air
☀️ Sunshine
🚶 Movement
😴 Quality sleep
📵 Time away from screens
😄 Laughter and connection

Sometimes the reset you’re looking for isn’t more information.

Sometimes it’s simply creating the space for your nervous system to exhale.

What helps you switch off and recharge?
