Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. 💛

This year’s theme, “Changing the Narrative on Su***de”, is encouraging more open, compassionate conversations and helping break down the stigma and silence that can surround su***de.

Talking about su***de doesn’t cause suicidal thoughts or behaviour. Having a caring, judgement-free conversation can help someone feel less alone and more safe in reaching out for support.

At Sonder, we believe connection matters. Sometimes, asking someone how they’re really going, taking the time to listen, or helping them find the right support can be an important first step.

If you or someone you know needs support, we’ve put together a list of crisis and urgent support services on our website. You can find them at sonder.net.au/crisis-support-services.

Remember: a simple conversation can make a difference. 💛

It's Women’s Health Week!

This year, Women’s Health Week is all about “do it anyway”: taking small, realistic steps towards improving your health and wellbeing, and each day focuses on a different way we can care for ourselves:

Monday: To fuel 🥗
Simple nutrition habits and ways to nourish your body.

Tuesday: To move 🏃‍♀️
Reframing movement and finding ways to be active that work for you.

Wednesday: To rest 😴
Making space for rest and better sleep, even when life makes it difficult.

Thursday: To breathe 🌬️
Looking after your mental wellbeing and recognising when you might need support.

Friday: To connect 💙
Taking small steps towards connection with friends, family, community and others.

This week is a reminder that looking after your health doesn’t have to mean doing everything perfectly all at once. Sometimes, it’s just about taking one small step.

Explore the full Women’s Health Week program and resources from jeanhailes.org.au and tell us in the comments: what are you doing for yourself this Women’s Health Week?

We love seeing opportunities like this that bring people together in ways that feel welcoming and practical.

Deadly Yarns by Upskill Global PTY LTD is creating space for Aboriginal community members, employers, and local services to come together for a yarn and build connections around employment and support. Better yet, it’s free to attend, and you’ll get to enjoy a free lunch while you’re there.

If this could be useful for you or someone you support, take a look at the post below. 👇

🌿 Deadly Yarns is coming to South Australia 🌿

We're proud to be bringing Deadly Yarns to Christie Downs Community Centre on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, 12:00–3:00pm.

This free community event is all about connection — between local Aboriginal community members, employers, and the services that support real pathways into work.

Come along for a feed, a yarn, and the chance to:
🤝 Chat directly with employers who are hiring
📚 Learn about training and study options
🏠 Connect with health, housing, and legal support services
👥 Spend time with community

At Upskill Global, events like Deadly Yarns reflect what we believe: that sustainable employment outcomes start with genuine relationships, not just job listings. When employers show up and listen, and when community has a safe space to ask questions and explore opportunities, everyone benefits — the individual, the employer, and the broader community.

Free entry. Free lunch. All welcome.
📍 Christie Downs Community Centre, Cnr Flaxmill & Morton Rd, Christie Downs SA
