No-scalpel vasectomy - such a satisfying procedure!

I originally trained under MSI Australia’s National Director of Vasectomy Services Dr Justin Low who has performed thousands of vasectomies over many years. We perform an open-ended no-scalpel vasectomy with fascial interposition.

The procedure is minimally invasive and takes less than 20 minutes to perform in most cases. It can be done under local anaesthesia or under intravenous sedation.

This is a quick and effective method to achieve male contraception.

I provide this procedure under local anaesthesia with MSI Australia in Hahndorf and Golden Grove (Suitable for patients who live rurally and remotely as you can conveniently book in for an online consultation via www.vasectomy.org.au).

I also provide the procedure privately with the option of intravenous sedation at Burnside Day Surgery. Patients wishing to book a consultation can call either of my rooms at Hahndorf Medical Centre, Kings Park Clinic, or Burnside Day Surgery.

I reside in South Australia (i.e. not a fly-in, fly-out service), so I have the capacity to personally follow up on any issues if they arise.

Just some of the many skin cancers detected and treated in recent times. The first one is interesting - a pigmented SCC! Then a collection of SCCs and BCCs of various sizes. Elbows, foreheads, forearms, necks - they can come up almost anywhere.

I’ve been on paternity leave and in the precious moments of silence, it has been very therapeutic for me to get the creative juices flowing.

6 April 2026, 9.11PM

“The End of a Day Spent With My 3-Year Old”

I’m squatting on a step stool in the dark, my bum going numb
Next to my son comfortably tucked in, taking his time to succumb
My hands keep my head from rolling off onto the floor
Just biding the right moment to make for the door
My brain is failing and my back is so sore
I’ve lost count of my coffees since the first one at four
This afternoon at the beach you lost your shoe
When while showering you threw it as I was telling you not to
My patience has been thusly tested I don’t know how many times
I don’t know how I’ve managed to not lose my mind
I don’t think I had ever imagined being this fried
Don’t think I could become more tired if I tried
I’m just so ready now to collapse into bed
It’s a whole new meaning now, to feel exhausted
This time tomorrow will probably be the same
The crazy thing is,
I gladly do it all over again.

Morning session at during my 3-week paternity leave (baby came earlier than expected!)

At Skin Matters in Burnside, I am part of a team of skin cancer doctors where I also do skin cancer diagnosis and treatment including minor skin cancer surgery (Phone: 08 8364 5800)

At Burnside Day Surgery, I provide minor skin cancer surgery (including small local flaps or grafts when necessary) and no scalpel vasectomy to private health insured patients. Procedures here can be done under local anaesthetic or IV sedation with an ANZCA accredited anaesthetist (Phone: 08 7228 5648)

With MSI Australia, I provide no scalpel vasectomy for non-insured patients from various parts of the state at various locations. MSI Australia is a not for profit family planning organization (www.vasectomy.org.au)
